Agreement to these terms

By creating an account or using the app or website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. If you are using the app for a child, you accept these terms on their behalf and are responsible for their use.

What the service is

Pronto Portuguese is a web app for learning European Portuguese through chunk-based lessons, spaced repetition reviews, pronunciation practice and related features. The service is provided as it is, and we keep improving it over time.

Accounts

You need an account to save progress and keep access after the trial period. Give accurate information when you create your account, and keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. Pronto Portuguese may close an account at its own discretion, for example if these terms are broken.

Acceptable use

Use the service for genuine personal learning. Do not use it unlawfully, disrupt or interfere with the service or its infrastructure, attempt to access other users' data, or resell access to the service.

Course content

The lessons, chunks, explanations, exercises and other course content are provided for your personal learning only. You may not copy, redistribute, resell or commercially use the course content, whether as-is or with small changes. All rights in the course content belong to Pronto Portuguese.

Pricing, trial and payment

You can try the app free for 3 days from account creation, and no payment details are required for the trial. After the trial, full access costs a one-time payment of $19.95. There is no subscription. Payment is processed by Stripe.

What lifetime access means

A purchase grants access for the lifetime of the site. If Pronto Portuguese is discontinued, access may end, and there is no entitlement to a refund or compensation in that case. We will aim to give reasonable notice on this page or in the app where practical.

Changes and availability

Pronto Portuguese may change, pause or discontinue the service, or any part of it, at its own discretion. Features, content and pricing may change over time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Learning outcomes

The app is a learning aid for personal use. Learning results depend on you, so we cannot promise any particular level of fluency or outcome. The app is not a substitute for professional language instruction, certified courses, or advice for any specific purpose.

Refunds

Purchases are non-refundable. Our refund policy is set out on the refund policy page, including the situations where rights that cannot be waived under your local consumer law may still apply.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pronto Portuguese is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data or loss of opportunity arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Ending these terms

You can stop using the service at any time, and you can ask us to delete your data through the contact form. Pronto Portuguese can close accounts or end the service at its own discretion, as described above.

Updates to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The latest version is always published on this page.
